All great hits from the early years of a the great man who is celebrating 50 years writing classic songs. I can’t wait to be part of the event. Of course, I’ve seen him many times and the charisma fo the man shines through along with the music without any of the fireworks and special effects that modern day rock bands seem to need. No doubt it will be a late night so book my short stay apartment to stay in. Bet I end up buying the over priced CD and merchandise as well but then what is a true fan supposed to do!

I just received the most beautiful card for my cousin Emily. It was a thank you card that she sent free birthday gift I bought her a few weeks ago. She even included a photo of her wearing a sweater I bought her. Even though it sounds kind of silly, I cried when I received her card. Thank you cards just aren’t sent these days. I must confess I rarely send them myself, I was truly touched when I received one. It makes me think. How many people would have been moved if I had sent a card like the one I received? I think I’m going to start to send out more thank you cards. People need to know that they are important. I’d forgotten how little I have reached out to tell my friends and family how much I appreciate them. It was just a small card. It only had about 25 words on it, but it’s changed the way I look at the world.
